Is “Made in America” back in style?. The link is from January 16, 2013 published in the Market intelligence Center. I just wanted to make one correction to the above article, it is not just the lower cost of labor that makes imports cheap. As it turns out, the artificially devalued Chinese Yuan by itself may be the number one reason why the cost of imports is low.
I think that “Made in America” is the new chic. It is only the most knowledgeable and fashionable that can join this movement. This movement is not for your ordinary Walmart discount shopper. Only people “in the know” can revel in this new fashion. People from all over the world are dieing to get their hands on “Made in America” souvenirs. It is too bad, many of the foreigner who think they are purchasing “Made in America” souvenirs are instead buying “Made in China” souvenirs. Shhh, don’t spread the word, it is our secret, but “Made in America” is hot. Get them before they are all gone.
