Club Monaco – Clothing Made in USA

Club Monaco This is the 1 minute 34 second video link from October 19, 2011 announcing that Club Monaco is making clothes in the USA. Club Monaco is a branch of Ralph Lauren. They announced in October 2011, the launch of its exclusive men’s “Made in the USA” collection. The collection will be found in only two of its locations: on 5th Street in New York City and on Bloor Street in Toronto, Canada.

At this time, the amount of American made clothing will be minimal, less that 1% of Club Monaco products, but like other brands such as Levi’s, Orvis, LL Bean and Ralph Lauren, they hope that this will soon be an expanding market. It is surprising to me that there are not any “Only Made in America”  souvenir stores that have popped up. For many tourists, coming to America, getting a genuine “made in America” product is one of the main goals in coming to visit this country.

Update: Club Monaco has upped its Made in America apparel. They know offer a great number of different Oxford shirts. Updated 12/2/2104.
