Putting the pedal to the metal: Subsidies to China’s auto-parts industry from 2001 to 2011 | Economic Policy Institute. As a follow up to “China Trade Violations” for Big Mike, who wanted to know more about the allegedly illegal trade violations. This is a very long and dry article that lists multiple subsidies that Chinese industries receive, some very legitimate, some not so, in the U.S. legal system anyway. Plus, some industries are owned by the municipalities and therefore get preferred treatment in many ways especially in coming up with financing.
