Newslink: Eddie Bauer to make clothes in USA

The Army Gym. There is a fantastic article in Inventory magazine, Issue 5/ Fall-Winter 2011.  They describe a collaboration between Eddie Bauer, one of America’s oldest outerwear garment makers and English designer, Nigel Cabourn, to make retro, yet modern new outerwear, currently made in Canada, to be made in the United States next year. Obviously, the price will be high end.  The production will be limited, but, there is hope that the United States can still make clothes. The problem with the current “links” is that I am unable to print up the article, because it is still presently on the newsstands. If you have a chance, get the magazine, it is different and interesting. One of the most interesting parts of the Inventory article is about the history of Eddie Bauer. Who knew? I thought Eddie Bauer was just another designer name.
